Update on Meet Rosie

Update on Rosie at age 18wks. Rosie has been a bit of guess work on occasions.  Her toilet training outdoors. Rosie has her own area of the garden to go out to do her business.  This area is made up from using artificial grass and training pad. With a opaque box which she can go into on bad weather days. She can see me and I can observe her. It does not have a door it does have a small sheltered roof. This keeps her dry on really wet days. Rosie does not like bad weather  as does not lots of dogs, especially puppies. About a week ago she began refusing to go outside at all. She had mastered her business to be done outdoors. Then I observed her on many occasions, she was advoiding her sheltered box. Why? Yep..she had outgrown it. When she arched her back to pooh, her head touched the top. This she did not like, quickly a bigger box was put in place. Problem solved, for a short period of time. She had began to fill out too, therefore the area had become to small. This...

Rosie at 14wks is now house trained. She sleeps all night Without going too a training pad. First thing in morning, I ask her if she wants to go out, This prompts her to walk too the door. I removed all training mats close to the door. This way if she does mess I can tick her off. Then put her outside.  She immediately goes onto a training mat outside the door, this eventually shall be grass only. For now a training mat until she can reach grass area. It has taken determination on my part and consistency.  Doing same routine each day over her 7wks with me. She walks with her lead and loves to venture outside to new places. Tonight I shall walk her around a park for few hours to get her use to doing her business on grass. It takes dedicated time from you to achieve these goals. I have loved every minute of it. Well done Rosie. Annie.

Relaxation by Rosie

Here is Rosie, I do believe the nervous puppy has finally  relaxing into her new environment.  My camera is always in my hand. She is such a pleasure to watch. Rosie loves her new brush , it puts her to sleep too. I heard her bark for the first time , only in her sleep I think she was back home running with her family,  either that or my late beautiful cocker spaniel came to play with Rosie. I would like to believe the latter. I tell Rosie all about my beautiful dog. A few tears have landed onto Rosie since she arrived in my arms. Today I am teaching her daytime from nightime.  Hence not inside her crate, this is her after a hour playing and then her lunch, I think she deserves a rest for working so hard. She is growing while asleep, today she managed to squeeze herself right into a tiny little corner by the fireplace. I now placed some ornaments there to keep her safe. Spent all day yesterday placing electric cables outwith her tiny sharp teeth. It is amazing how mu...
