Rosie begins new journey .

Rosie gets her kennel cough injection one week today.
Why?
For she is going to be introduced to other animals.
She shall begin her journey of getting to know life outside her family nest with myself. 
Her first day shall begin with one hour, for her to get to know her environment. 
Heated kennels in winter, cooling kennels in summer.
One to one hands on care.
Walking with lead with one to one supervision,  to keep a close eye on changing her behaviour towards eating stones.
She shall have access to an outdoor run attached to her kennel. 
This shall be enclosed with views to outside areas, where she can watch what is going on.
This shall curb any separation anxiety getting embedded into her behaviour. 
It shall also help myself too, from showing her my anxiety towards dogs, after my attack.
Rosie shall become her ownself, without feeding of my fears.
Her journey shall be increased each month to build her up to staying overnight. 
I shall have more separation anxiety than Rosie.
I am positive Rosie shall get to love her new adventures. 
Once she is happy to settle down, then this is the time her mummy, me, shall have a holiday knowing she has been left in good hands.
This I  am prepared to wait for Rosie is a
Puppy and needs to be happy within herself before myself. 
A dog is for life to love, treasure and make happy.
Rosie shall keep you updated of her progress.

Meet Rosie

  Meet Rosie our new family member. She is 8wks old, she has been obviously missing her own family. She has been away from them for less than a week. Already she has learned to go too her puppy training pads. She sleeps in her crate beside my bed. The door is kept open so she can go too training pad when she needs to. Been a few misses but she mostly reaches her pads on time. She is now using her teething toys rather than sucking her blankets looking for her mummy for milk. I place the teething toy inside her mouth each time she opened it to suck. She soon learnt to get the hang of using the teething toy. She eats dry food with a little moise meat gel. She is eating 3 small meals. 9am , 1.30pm. 6pm her last meal stop along with water. She gets a calming treat at bedtime with a lick of water. Her bedtime is around 9.30pm. Meeting Rosie for the first time.

The first day I met my new puppy Rosie.  My first thoughts on looking at her, once I had decided it was Rosie I was taking home, I heard myself telling myself,  I  hope I never let her down. For I felt I was still missing my beautiful cocker spaniel Carrie.  I knew pets can sense our emotions..whenever I got her into my arms and we were alone. I whispered to Rosie how sad I was feeling and it was not her fault.  I told her about my loss of Carrie and how beautiful she was. I shared with her my sadness for my loss telling her, I am sure you shall make me feel better.  I told Rosie, I too would love her as much as I  did my beautiful cocker spaniel.  When I walked into my home with Rosie in my arms. After care speyed

 It is now November 23rd. Rosie had her operation to be speyed 5days ago. She was ok after her operation no complications.  5days on she is having trouble defecating,  she lets out a loud squeal.  Took her too the vet, who checked her anal glands were not inflamed also emptied her anal sacs. She is still having pain, vet has prescribed a pain relief for her. I am softening her food to make her stools softer to allow less tention on her stomach. With a bitch the operation entails cutting into the belly, hence the tenderness.  Rosie sleeps all night with odd mishap of messing on training pad, due to her being to small to hold it all night. During day she ventures towards the door to go outside.  Training her for potty outside has been a gradual process, she still is reluctant to go outdoors when weather is bad.
