Learning new commands through play.

Image
Rosie has been learning new training through playtime. She is learning to give back her toys once she has a good grip on them. For this may one day be something you do not want her to have in her mouth. The way I find best to teach her this, is to play a tug game to begin with then instead of pulling the toy for her to tug, you push the toy towards her mouth. This way she automatically lets go of the item, whenever she does It say the word give, the  praise her. Annie.

Relaxation by Rosie

Image
Here is Rosie, I do believe the nervous puppy has finally  relaxing into her new environment.  My camera is always in my hand. She is such a pleasure to watch. Rosie loves her new brush , it puts her to sleep too. I heard her bark for the first time , only in her sleep I think she was back home running with her family,  either that or my late beautiful cocker spaniel came to play with Rosie. I would like to believe the latter. I tell Rosie all about my beautiful dog. A few tears have landed onto Rosie since she arrived in my arms. She is growing while asleep, today she managed to squeeze herself right into a tiny little corner by the fireplace. I now placed some ornaments there to keep her safe. Spent all day yesterday placing electric cables outwith her tiny sharp teeth. It is amazing how mu...

Meet Rosie

Image
Meet Rosie our new family member. She is 8wks old, she has been obviously missing her own family. She has been away from them for less than a week. Already she has learned to go too her puppy training pads. She sleeps in her crate beside my bed. The door is kept open so she can go too training pad when she needs to. Been a few misses but she mostly reaches her pads on time. She is now using her teething toys rather than sucking her blankets looking for her mummy for milk. I place the teething toy inside her mouth each time she opened it to suck. She soon learnt to get the hang of using the teething toy. She eats dry food with a little moise meat gel. She is eating 3 small meals. 9am , 1.30pm. 6pm her last meal stop along with water. She gets a calming treat at bedtime with a lick of water. Her bedtime is around 9.30pm. She takes a mad hour around 7.8.pm I try to keep this as calm as can be during this time. I massage her little body and talk to her. Once she is ...
